Phillipians 1:3-6
Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.
Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy,
for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News
about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.
And I am certain that God, who began the good work
within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished
on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
I am taking a moment tonight to entertain thoughts of Thanksgiving and all that comes with it. Of course I am creating one list after another - one with dishes that other family members are bringing and another with tasks that must be completed before all 40 family members enter my home and still another that contains the dreaded grocery list (only dreaded because the stores will be treacherous).
But who can even speak the word "Thanksgiving" without taking time to consider all that we have to be thankful for. I feel doubly blessed - I have a precious family with lots of grandkids and I have a church family that blesses me continuously.
Tonight, as I think of you - our church family - my sisters in Christ - my heart overflows with thankfulness. You are our partners in ministry. You are our burden bearers - our encouragers - our prayer warriors.
Thank you for being all of those and for supporting us for all of these 17 1/2 years of ministry here in Magnolia.
I challenge you to take the time to be thankful.
You might even take a moment to leave a comment and share with us what you are thankful for.
Have a blessed day of thanksgiving!

Cindy,
Thank you so much for those words of thankfulness. I, too am very thankful for all God's blessings. After attending the funeral yesterday I am reminded to thank God for my life, how precious our lives are. True gifts from our Father. I am also very thankful for my family. Oh how precious it is to have a husband and children. I am also very thankful for my sisters in Christ who have not given up on a wretch like me but have encouraged me and loved me as I grow in the Lord. But, most of all I am soossososo thankful for my saviour that saved me and has crucified my flesh so I may live by His Holy spirit everyday. Thank you God for your saving grace and your very present help with every need. May everyone reading have the most blessed thanksgiving as we all thank God for all he has done.
Love in Him Always,
Kristin
I am thankful for an amazing an miraculous God. One who has proven faithful to me over and over again. He has moved me from a life of dispair in California as a Mormon thru a hurricane and a failed marriage to where he wants me to be. To a place where he can use me and to a place where I have found more joy and peace than I have ever known. I am thankful for all the wonderful friends I have made since I moved to Magnolia. I am thankful for my sons 2nd grade teacher(Jamie Rhea) who suggested I might like FBC as a new home church. Oh, I could go on and on. I am thankful for my 2 beautiful children and for my health and my job and for Gods provision. I am thankful that God is using me and that I have been, thru him, able to move past my fears and step into what he has called me to do.
Kristen you are so NOT a wretch. I think you are so amazing. You are beautiful and you are talented and you are humble and you have the very sweetest, helpful demeanor. God bless you and your family.
And God bless all of our FBC Family! Happy Thanksgiving!!! Michelle W.
